The strait transit simulated the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan, Harpers Ferry-class dock landing ship USS Cater Hall and Mesa Verde comping into contact with and receiving and returning enemy fire from small boats while in formation. C2X is the last at-sea period of the Pre-deployment Training Program for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group.
