U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Cody Domangue, a joint terminal attack controller, and Lance Cpl. Alexander Tague, a joint fires observer, both with 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, use a radio to relay instructions to mortarmen during the battalion’s Fire Support Coordination Exercise (FSCEX) on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 13, 2022. FSCEX is a week-long exercise that validates the unit’s ability to provide offensive and defensive fires using organic fire assets of a Marine Expeditionary Unit as part of their Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation in preparation for their upcoming deployment with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
