A 3D printer prints a replacement part aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) in the Atlantic Ocean, Feb. 21, 2018. The 26th MEU is the first MEU to deploy with a 3D printer, paving the way for the future of maintenance in deployed environments, drastically reducing repair and wait times for replacement parts and various items.
