A Marine and his military working dog look toward a Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training town prior to conducting a simulated raid takes place aboard Fort Pickett, Va., April 16, 2016. During the raid, the handler and dog were utilized as a search asset for the simulated landing zone. Dog handlers and their military working dogs are used in many combat situations, whether that is clearing an area suspected of Improvised Explosive Devices or pursuing an enemy.
