Sailors with 4th Amphibious Assault Battalion rest before well deck operations commence aboard USS Wasp, off the coast of Onslow Beach, N.C., April 11, 2012. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit is under way to support the commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans. Starting this April and continuing through 2015, the US Navy, US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard will commemorate the War of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner. The War of 1812 celebration will commemorate the rich naval history and showcase the capabilities of today's Navy-Marine Corps Team.
