In port colors of the USS Wasp fly prior departing Naval Station Norfolk, Va., April 10. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, embarked aboard the Wasp, is under way to support the commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans. Starting this April and continuing through 2015, the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and US Coast Guard will commemorate the War of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner. The War of 1812 celebration will commemorate the rich naval history and showcase the capabilities of todays Navy-Marine Corps Team.
