New York Jets cheerleader, Laura, gets a hands on feel for the .50 caliber M82A3 Special Application Scoped Rifle as Cpl. Andre Bandoo, an infantryman with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 26, explains the function of the weapon. The Jets cheerleaders toured the USS New York and met with Marines from SPMAGTF-26, Nov. 3, 2009. They saw Marine Corps vehicles, weapons and air craft, while also posing for photos and signing autographs. The ship is currently docked in New York City for its commissioning ceremony, Nov. 7.
