Corporal Justin Sommers, Amphibious Assault Vehicle crew chief, Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, receives ammunition, before test firing his MK19 40mm machine gun and his .50 caliber machine gun on Udairi Firing Range, Kuwait, Jan. 8, 2009. The MEU's AAV platoon wanted to test fire their main guns before training with Kuwaitis later in the week, said 1st Lt. Michael Cassin, AAV platoon commander. The 26th MEU is currently conducting sustainment training at Camp Buehring, Kuwait as part of its 2008-2009 deployment.
