OFF THE COAST OF NORTH CAROLINA (March 11, 2008)-- Petty Officer 3rd Class Deanna Gryder, a general duty corpsman aboard USS San Antonio (LPD-17), treats role-player Cpl. Hector Ezzidio during a mass casualty drill. Marines from Battalion Landing Team 3/8 volunteered to act as victims in a medical emergency for the drill. BLT 3/8 and Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit are aboard the San Antonio to conduct exercises during the ships Operational Evaluation, which will measure the new ship's ability to support Marine expeditionary operations.
