During an exercise coodinated through Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa (CJTF HOA) Cpl. Joseph M. Abasciano with Echo Comany, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Bn., 8th Marines secures the perimeter at a beach in Djibouti April 26 as the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit's (Special Operations Capable) ground Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel (TRAP) platoon comes ashore. Shortly after arriving in the Central Command area of responsibility, the 26th MEU (SOC), emabarked aboard the Kearsarge Strike Group, proceeded to Djibouti to exercise its capabilities at the extensive ranges there. The exercise was witnessed by several senior coalition officers demonstrating the prowess of CJTF HOA and the reach-out capabilty of CENTCOM in its AOR. (Official USMC photo by Gunnery Sgt. Mark E.
