Hello 26th MEU Families and Friends,
The Family Readiness Program is dedicated to helping our service members as they take a proactive approach to their personal and family readiness. They will be more able to focus on accomplishing the mission, knowing that their spouses and family members have a reliable resource in the Family Readiness Program.
The Family Readiness Officer (FRO) for the 26th MEU Command Element is here to assist Marines, Sailors, and their family members as they prepare to rise to the challenges of the military lifestyle. The 26th MEU Family Readiness Program serves as a responsive, supportive, and professional resource for information and referral to enhance the readiness of all Marines and their families. In partnership with Marine Corps Community Services, and several surrounding entities, the FRO will aid in providing services and resources to address the versatile needs of the 26th MEU families.
The Commanding Officer ultimately is responsible for the Family Readiness Program; however, to achieve optimal levels of readiness, it is necessary for Marines to take an active part in ensuring that their families have the foundation necessary to facilitate strong communication within the Marine Corps.
All official and factual information regarding the unit’s movements, activities, and operations will be passed to the FRO directly from the 26th MEU Commanding Officer and relayed to authorized contacts. Remember, other sources of information may be unreliable or incorrect.
As always, the FRO is here to assist you in any way possible. Please don’t hesitate to contact the FRO with any questions or concerns. The goal is to keep you informed with the most up to date information as the direct link to our forward deployed MEU. The FRO can be reached via email at email@example.com or by phone at (910) 450-6471.
NOTE: If you have not been added as an authorized contact by your Marine or Sailor, the FRO will only be able to provide you with basic publicly accessible information.
